This isn’t a cute, thought out post because sometimes small business is just really rough. In a week both of our freezers thawed out twice. An issue that was supposed to be fixed, wasn’t, which led to our large freezers compressor burning out, because of low voltage. Thousands of dollars worth of loss and damage and people trying to figure out who’s at fault, but none of that pays our bills or keeps the truck open 🙃

We’re thankful none of the shortages led to the truck catching on fire, but to be honest we’re feeling a little defeated on moving forward through this season. Winter is already a LOT of effort to get sales. We wish we could be a part of Small Business Saturday, but we can’t afford that right now. Please, please shop small this weekend and support as many local businesses as you can. I promise you the large corporations will be just fine without you, but you may not see some of your favorite restaurants, shops, and artists next year if they don’t get enough support 🧡

TBH every year that we end our truck season and switch to deliveries, is a little scary for us 🫣 It’s at least twice as much work and way less stability. This year for the sake of our household, our time, and our sanity we will be trialing deliveries for the next month before we decide if we will be fully closing until Spring. We want to keep the truck open for as long as possible and sometimes that just means changing with the economy and trends!
